HELP A CHILD FIND THEIR FATHER

As you can imagine, the task of connecting children abandoned by a foreign parent many years later is extremely complicated.

We have been lucky to be supported by a group of incredible volunteers who use their time to collect and examine DNA samples, put together legal cases and investigate the veracity of claims. However, there are some things that our volunteers need help with.

Our aim is to be very transparent with our fundraising and your donations will go towards the following:

FAMILY SUPPORT

The children that come to us for help are often living in very difficult circumstances with little to no financial support. Some funds will therefore go towards:

  • Paying for education of the children under the age of 18 including fees, books and uniforms.

  • Paying a daily stipend which will go towards basic subsistence and ensuring that the child is able to eat at least 1 substantial meal per day.

  • Paying for medical bills.

LEGAL AND DNA EFFORT

While we rely on a lot of volunteer work and assistance with the DNA test kits and pro bono legal work, we also have to pay for:

  • Transport to reach the families in remote areas of Kenya.

  • Daily subsistence for our volunteers when they are in the field.

CHARITY UPKEEP

The funds will also go towards the upkeep of the charity namely:

  • Paying rent at our field office in Nanyuki.

  • Paying the salary of one member of staff.

  • Paying the annual subscription fee for our website and email addresses.

In extraordinary circumstances, our management committee will consider using extra funds for other necessary work.

Thank you!
